Everyday someone will ask me…”Which is the BEST ESL study book?”
I can understand why they are asking, all you have to do is to visit your local Junkudo and you will likely find more than 50 different types of ESL study books and courses. It can and IS very confusing for the new ESL student.
So where to start?
I have found that the resources offered by the academic presses of; Cambridge, and Oxford to be very good. But you also need to look around. Talk to your friends and family find out what works for them. Remember, no one company has everything. In time you will need to collect multiple courses and books, from different publishers, and work through all of them.
Below is a list of the ESL study books I generally use for my students:
Young adults and adults:
For young children – (E2 to E6)
As for my current list of study books, ask me again a year from now, I’ll bet that my list has changed……again!
